My guess (and I emphasize -- GUESS) would be that after the committe had don its work different editors decided to treat it differently.

Subject: [B-Greek] Capital theta in John 1:18?

Sorry about that.  My mind was wandering last night.  Let's try again.

In NA27, the first letter of John 1:18 is a capital theta.

IN UBS4, it is a lower case theta.

Why the difference?
