The edition that I called attention to is the TGV, "Today's Greek Version."
I do believe that the Koine text is indeed the MT. I note, for instance, that
John 1:18 the Koine text here printed is:

θεον ουδεις εωρακεν πωποτε ο μονογενης υιος ο ων εις τον κολπον του πατρος εκεινος εξηγησατο
[QEON OUDEIS EWRAKEN PWPOTE O MONOGENHS UIOS O WN EIS TON KOLPON TOU PATROS EKEINOS EXHGHSATO]

which is, in fact, the MT.

whereas UBS4/NA27 has:

Θεὸν οὐδεὶς ἑώρακεν πώποτε· μονογενὴς θεὸς ὁ ὢν εἰς τὸν κόλπον τοῦ πατρὸς ἐκεῖνος ἐξηγήσατο.
[QEON OUDEIS hEWRAKEN PWPOTE· MONOGENHS QEOS hO WN EIS TON KOLPON TOU PATROS EKEINOS EXHGHSATO]
