Hello Friends at BGreek,
Regarding accents, sometime ago I found a Greek word that was spelled differently than it normally was. The context showed that it quite obviously was the same word, while further as I remember the H was simply replaced with EI which largely does sound the same. But then I noticed when it was spelled in the rare way the accent was on another syllable. This made me question the accent marks. The rare spelling appeared only once in the New Testament, but quite often in the Septuagint. I very much wondered why it was accented differently in it's other spelling, as it quite obviously was the same word, and even pronounced the same. Yet maybe there is a reason. For some reason I forgot the word and cannot find it. If any one knows of this word or other words as this, with accent discrepancies seemingly in the same word, I would be happy to know of them. Thanks in advance.
