Whose woods these are I think I know,
His house is in the village though.
He will not see me stopping here,
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer,
To stop without a farmhouse near,
Between the woods and frozen lake,
The darkest evening of the year.
This was the last poem I recited to my mother on Dec 21 ("the darkest evening of the year") prior to her death the following Jan 31.

Hi, Carl.
Would the Greeks, to get even, decode Mr. Frost thus?
"I think I know whose woods these are, though
his house is in the villiage."
