Bear in mind that I am new to the study of Greek. I have only been
studying Greek grammar for about two weeks or so. I am confused as to
whether and when it is appropriate to include the word ejgw' when
conjugating verbs. I have read some resources that say the "I" is
presumed if absent from some verbs, and I've read others who
(sometimes at least) include the word for "I" with those save verbs.
For example,
βλέπω [BLEPW] or ἐγὼ βλέπω [EGW BLEPW]
λέγω [LEGW] or ἐγὼ λέγψ [EGW LEGW]
Is it always proper to omit the ejgw ' and, if not, when it is proper
or normal to exclude the term?
Thanks
David McCarley
