It used to be quite normal in my childhood that people in my country (especially in rural areas) should use such expressions like "they have taken each other" for "they got married". There was no doubt at that time that "taking each other" meant "getting married" and not merely "joined", as it was considered shameful for a man and a woman living together without getting married according to the customs of the respective community. In the recent years however it has become quite widespread with younger generations that couples may very well live together without getting married - simply "joined", or under "trial marriage". The same way, I believe, we can judge what people in Lot's time would mean by λαμβάνω LAMBANW when applied to man-woman relationship, based on the available evidence provided by the text regarding social standards at that time.

ἐξηλθεν δέ Λωτ και ἐλαλησεν πρὸς  τοὺς γαμβροὺς αὐτου τοὺς εἰληφότας τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτου καὶ εἶπεν...

Question 1) In this passage there seems to be a difference of opinion between the KJV and NASB and Jewish Bible English as to the tense of τοὺς εἰληφότας this participle. Should it be 'who were married' or 'who will be married' or 'who had married'? My guess is perfect participle.

Question 2) the word εἰληφότας is not available in my dictionary. Does it mean married, wed or joined?
