[B-Greek] TO DE SWMA TOU CRISTOU--can the traditional translation be sustained?

Another possibility I have seen raised, and even addressed briefly on B-Greek, is that the body of Christ refers back to the beginning of verse 16, "Do not let anyone judge you...but (let) the body of Christ (judge you). At least that would make sense of the genitive.

However, it would break up the phrase quite a bit. Greek seems less picky on word order since the forms determine function, but it still seems a little awkward.

I can't find a lot written on the subject, and those that do write on it tend to be interested for theological reasons rather than purely grammatical, due to its bearing on the sabbath/feasts issue.

Is the body of Christ translation any more feasible?
