Hi, Stephen,
< I own 50% of the Black-listed volumes.>
I won't tell the HUAC if you don't.
< Who finds it (Robertson) useful and to what purposes?>
I use it as a paper-weight during tornadoes.
<Smyth is excellent but needs reformatting.>
What changes would you suggest? It seems like with Smyth you either love him or
you really love him. I've never heard anyone knock him.
<A very bloated Brit after his 10th Thanksgiving...>
Glad you crossed the pond.

Robertson
Ladies and Gentlemen:
This is an interesting list. I own 50% of the Black-listed volumes.
Included in my collection is A.T. Robertson's substantial tome.
I must confess it has sat sadly idle most of the time of its existence in my
possession, and Black himself seems to have some reservations about it. That it
is a momentous work does not appear to be in question.
But in my labours and studying, I rarely [if ever] recourse to it.
So I'm curious: Is it momentous because it is momentous? Who finds it useful and
to what purposes?
I think it was Mr. FWS who mentioned Trenchard and Mounce's Morphology. Far more
used than Mounce's BBG once one has advanced past the first stage. Smyth is
excellent but needs reformatting. One useful addition to Trenchard's lists would
be [where practicable] indications [TINOS, TINI etc.] after verbs indicating the
case of their objects...
A very bloated Brit after his 10th Thanksgiving...
