Subject: [B-Greek] What's My Name in Greek?
Hello Folks,
I was wondering how best to put my surname, Ghilardi, into Greek. I'm not
talking about transliteration, but much the way Mark Lightman converted his last
name into the Greek Φωσφόρος FWSFOROS.
Ghilardi is simply an Italian form of Gerhard or Gerard with a plural ending and
means strong lance, brave spear or some combination thereof. So here's two
possibilities I've come up with:
Ανδρειοδόρη ANDREIODORH -
that's pretty smoothe, isn't it?
Κρατερολόγχαι
KRATEROLOGXAI
Can anyone suggest something better?
Yours in His grace,
Richard Ghilardi
