Iver has a nice discussion of application of a translation philosophy to
Romans 4:1 on the Better Bibles Blog this morning:

http://betterbibles.com/2010/09/23/rom-41

The passage is one that has been discussed on B-Greek on at least one
occasion back in June 2006, introduced by Harold Holmyard in this message:

http://lists.ibiblio.org/pipermail/b-greek/2006-July/039359.html

and just a year ago (July 2009) the same questions were discussed in
a thread introduced by Iver himself:

http://lists.ibiblio.org/pipermail/b-greek/2009-July/049831.html

Earlier yet, in January of 2002 it was raised by Moon-Ryul Jung:

I don't think that the Hays-Wright view, "that we have found Abraham ... "
fared very well in any of these exchanges -- for good reasons.
