[B-Greek] Ephesians 2:8

I think this or a very similar question was asked not that long ago.  I don't 
think there is any particular grammatical reason to think that χαριτι XARITI 
should be excluded from consideration, but, if you think about it, who would 
speak of one's being favorable to himself as opposed to being favored by God?  I 
think the understanding of what would be said clarifies the matter itself.

Is there any reason to think that TOUTO in Ephesians 2:8 must, of
necessity, refer to PISTEWS as opposed to CARITI? Is there reason to
favor one over the other?
