I ran across this article available on the internet that gives an accessible brief introduction to Greek verbal aspect and debate about it, and thought it would be good to post the link to B-Greek for anyone that could use such a primer: Andrew David Naselli, “A Brief Introduction to Verbal Aspect in New Testament Greek,” Detroit Baptist Seminary Journal 12 (2007): 17–28. The author does not particularly argue for the “aspect only” view, but describes it and elaborates on it, along with describing to a much lesser extent, the other main views, though he favors the “aspect only view”. (I myself presently ascribe to the “aspect plus time view” described in the article, for which the author lists Fanning, Wallace, and Silva as representatives.)
