No it is not passive; the verb EGEIRW in the active means 'awaken, arouse';
in the middle EGEIROMAI it means "wake up" or "get up" or "arise"; the -QH-
forms of such verbs MAY be passive, but just as often the -QH- forms should
be understood as the aorist and future equivalents of -MAI/-SAI/-TAI forms
and understood as middle, and in this case even intransitive. It is
equivalent in meaning to ANESTH.
