You are quite right. I was thinking more as a translator than a textual critic. I
understand the original question better now.
I was trying to see if I could defend the UBS GNT choice of not marking it as a
question, and I failed. It does seem much better to interpret it as a question. I
wonder if there are some good reasons for not taking it as a question. (By the way,
should that statement have had a question mark in English? Or is it just a
semantic/pragmatic question, but a syntactical statement?)
