Hi Steven,
No, not grammatically allowed because the verbs in question are both
singular. 'Calling upon' is EPIKALOUMENON, and 'saying' is LEGONTA.
The plural forms, which would be required for the proposed reading, are
EPIKALOUMENOUS and LEGONTAS.
