TOIS LOIPOIS would seem to refer to those for whom the foregoing
circumstances and instructions do not apply. They would seem to be both
those in marriages in which only one partner is a Christian, i.e., has
become a Christian after the marriage has taken place (vv. 12-16), and also
virgins in a position to be married (v. 25-40). He has hertofore been
discussing marriages in which both partners were Christians, as well as the
situations of those who were unmarried and widows.
