I think Rick's suggested translation "before whom we must give an account" is
in fact fair enough. Only calling the hUMIN the indirect object is probably
not the best view, especially since the implied ESTI is intransitive. It
might be better to say that hUMIN is a possessive dative or a dative of
respect. Also, PROS is probably more of a "toward" or "with" than "before",
but the latter isn't bad in this context.
