No, I had not seen your post on John 3. The fact we both came up with it
independently should lend support to it, kind of like two manuscripts
from different text families supporting the same reading.
It certainly makes sense. But, I thought both you and JB had pretty much
decided neither of your interpretations made much sense, and you didn't
seem to mind since this was another example of unresolved tensions in
Paul's writings to the Ephesians. Did I read this incorrectly?
Do you see the rebuking as being efficacious? That to me was the
resolution to the problem with which you and Jim were struggling.
BTW, I think we have the words to "MTA" on cd somewhere. I'll try to
look for it sometime.
