I think I was talking about a word whose meaning is determined in context.
You are using PISTEUW as a theological term quite apart from the range of
definitions that the word has in the NT.

For instance, if the work PISTEUW always has the concept of "commitment"
inherent in it, in what way are the demons committed to God in their belief
as mentioned in James 2:19? "You believe that God is one. You do well; the
demons also believe, and shudder." I may be missing something here, but it
seems that belief may be quite deep (generating commitment perhaps) or quite
shallow (simply acknowledging the reality of a person or thing) and still
fall within the range of meanings for the word belief in the NT.
