This is an interesting question. But I have an archaeological question:
Would such a privy have been an "inner" room?

Most of the description of contemporary houses (as well analogous modern
arrangements, to which I can attest from many visits to various cousins as
a child) such "necessary rooms" are typically _not_ in the midst of the
house --if indeed connected to the house at all (cf the discussions about
the location of the "latrines" at Qumran)
