The abbreviation "AV" is used to refer to the KJV. It stands for
"Authorized Version." You are thinking of the ASV [1901] = American
Standard Version which is the American revision of the RV [1881-85] =
Revised Version, sometime referred to as the ERV [1881-85] = English
Revised Version.
