Apreciado Ted:
Pienso que la traducción más literal para este versículo sea "riñones". B.
De Jerusalén así traduce. Nuestro refrendamiento está en el Texto; así como
que los riñones son considerados sede de sentimientos como la alegría (Pr.
23:16),pena (Sal.73.21),e, incluso de la voluntad y la conciencia (Sal.16:7
y 26:2). Dios examina los riñones y el corazón lo más íntimo del hombre (Jr.
11:20, l7:10, 20,12 y Ap. 2:23 nuestro Texto).
Ahora "El Pero"
Observemos el énfatico "Yo soy", el "Yo" que sondea, que averigua, que
inquiere los corazones, este es un atributo peculiar de Dios dado a Cristo.
La rienda, la contención de, el gobernar el, el refrenar el (rein), son el
asiento de los deseos; del corazón y que a la boca salen como pensamientos.
Podemos decir que el riñon es figura del corazón. Las versiones que
traduzcan mentes, deseos, son de una lectura más corrida, menos trabada, más
legible etc.
