[Please note: the original of this message was sent in styled text, i.e.
MIME format; my attempts to alter this text at the web site failed;
nevertheless, as I have urged list-members in the past, I ask once again,
PLEASE do not use MIME format for messages to B-Greek. While they appear
clearly on screens of many current mail programs, they are almost illegible
in the digests where the messages appear in coded format--and many of our
readers get the messages of B-Greek only once daily by digest. The original
of the message to which I am now responding was in MIME format; my reply
will be in plain-text ASCII only.]

One of your best bets would be the freeware font SPIonic (it DOES include
characters for digamma, koppa, and san); and one of the best updated places
to look for where to get it is at Mark Goodacre's site:

I have for years been using SMK GreekKeys fonts which include several Greek
fonts with those older inscriptional characters as well as notational marks
used for papyri, etc. For information about them, go to:

"Athenian" is one of the SMK fonts; it can be downloaded from the Perseus
web site:

but should only be used for browsing at the Perseus site; information is
offered on that page regarding how to purchase it for your own use.
