The query below was not meant to be forwarded to B-Greek, and I must
personally take the blame for failing to take the mechanical steps required
to reject it after writing to Chet and telling him that it was outside the
boundaries of appropriate B-Greek discussion. At least one response already
indicates why it is outside our list's purview: we don't discuss "higher
criticism" because (a) it is based upon assumptions widely variant and
controversial--list members are likely to fall on both or several different
sides in what could become a very heated discussion; (b) there is at least
one excellent scholarly list (Synoptic-L) which focuses precisely upon the
Synoptic "problem" in all its dimensions and ramifications.
