I personally think that it works better in this context to translate the
EGWas an emphatic and the QERAPEUSW as a future indicative, i.e. I myself
will go and heal him. This would indicate the willingness of Jesus to
the Jewish/Gentile prohibitions to help the Roman officer although the man's
faith was enough in the end.
Just my opinion, though...
