FOBEW is often followed by an accusative, to denote that which is being feared. I
would suggest that this is the use of UMAS, here in Gal 4:11. Paul is made afraid,
when he looks at the Galatians. It is not so much the Galatians, themselves, but
their activities which cause him to fear; nevertheless, UMAS is the source or cause
for FOBOUMAI.
