BOOK 581,PAGE 89STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA THIS CONVEYANCE, made this 13th day of October 1962, by and between SALLIE M. DAVIS, Widow, and CHARLES T. DAVIS, JR and Wife, JOYCE V. DAVIS, of the County and State aforesaid, and NORA D. WHITE and Husband, ROY T. WHITE, of the County of Shawnee, State of Kansas, hereinafter called the Grantors, and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, hereinafter called the Grantee: WITNESSETH The Grantors, for and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand and No/100 ($1,000.00) Dollars, to them in hand paid by the Grantee at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the Grantee, the United States of America and its assigns, a perpetual and assignable easement for the establishment, maintenance and operation of a restricted area in, upon, over and across the land described herein, consisting of:
RESERVING, HOWEVER, to the Grantors, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, all right, title, interest and privileges as may be BOOK 581, PAGE 90exercised and enjoyed without interference with or abridgement of the easement and rights herein conveyed. ALL that tract or parcel of land lying and being situate in Saulston Annex, Wayne County, North Carolina, in the form of a circle, bound now or formerly on all sides by other land of the heirs of Charles T. Davis, Sr., and being more particularly described as follows: ALL of that area in the form of a circle, having a radius of 200 feet, with the center point of radius located through the following traverse: From a common corner to the lands of heirs of Charles T. Davis, Sr. and land of J. A. Edmundson, located on the centerline of N. C. State Road 1534 and approximately 2,135 feet northeasterly from the centerline of Nahunta Swamp; thence along the centerline of N. C. State Road 1534, N 49 degrees 28' E, 835.56 feet; thence leaving the centerline of N.C. State Road 1534, N 40 degrees 32' W, 420 feet to the center point of radius, and containing 2.88 acres, more or less. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD unto the United States of America and its assigns in perpetuity. The Grantors, for themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby warrant and agree to defend the title to said easement and the property encumbered thereby unto the United States of America and its assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
