However, we do object to publishing V1 business-in-progress outside the committee. We propose that as often as weekly, the V1 committee chair be authorized by V1 to post on the V1 website a list of issues the committee agrees at that time have been decided (of course, voting members still reserve the right to change their mind on an issue prior to the final vote); that is, we provide a relatively stable snapshot, with the usual disclaimers. We believe that this obeys the spirit of the INCITS rules while still allowing the U.S.-domiciled public to provide input.
