You will find I-view in my share directory (G:\BYERSM) in the HTML folder.
Just double-click on the shortcut to start it up on your machine. The first thing you'll need to do is set the capture options. Look under the "Options" menu and click "Capture." |

Then set your options. The ones at left seem to work fairly well for most purposes.
This method lets you see the mouse cursor (regular screenshots do not), and the image
will open instantly on your screen so that you can process it further. One important step you cannot omit is to click the "Start" button. From that point on, holding down "Ctrl" and pushing "F11" will produce a screenshot. |

Now you'll need to crop the image to get just the part of it you need to show the step you are focusing on at the moment. First, click on the screen where you want to start cropping (notice the cursor changing) and drag to complete the selection. The "Crop" command is under the "Edit" menu (or hit Ctrl-Y). Undo if necessary (Ctrl-Z) and start over until you get it right. Note down the image dimensions in the lower-left corner of the I-view window. |

You will not have too much luck resizing these images. For some reason, they get
very blurry when resized. While you're looking around, check out the "Information" bar under the "Image" menu and the "Properties bar under the "Options" menu. You can find out all kinds of stuff about your images there. |

Now you'll need to save the image into the appropriate folder. Be sure to save
it as a *.jpg file. They are much more efficient than *.bmp files, and they look better
than *.gif files, which can take on an odd coloration. You have many options here. You can get even more by clicking the "Options" button on the "Save" dialog box. Try it! |
