History:

In 1999-2000 student leaders saw the need for an annual student leadership retreat to specifically address the needs of the UCD Chicano/Latino community. The Chicano/Latino Intern of '99-00' at the Cross Cultural Center (M. Villalobos) took on the responsibility of coordinating the group planning, funding, and implementatino of the retreat. In Fall 2000 the first annual retreat occured with great success.
