Blaike Bibbs, president of the Chatham County and Chapel Hill Teen Democrats, is the first North Carolina student selected to attend the Young Democrats of America High School Leadership Academy. The academy will be held this week in Washington, D.C. It will focus on an inside view of elections, media, campaign finance, grassroots organizing and engaging youth in the voting process. Only 48 students are selected to represent 27 states.
Bibbs is the first vice president of the North Carolina Association of Teen Democrats.
