Gimme Five! Patrick Cudahy of Robes

By day, Patrick Cudahy runs The Merch in Chapel Hill, a one-stop shop for custom screenprint posters, t-shirts, embroidery and more. By evening, he and Chris Williams (of Jody’s Onion, “way back in the day”) channel their creative vision in new directions, turning out electronic, indie pop in ROBES.With a new record out July 24th and a celebration show at The Pinhook, August 18th, we decided took our five question assault to Cudahy. See if he can handle the inquest after the jump.

1. If your band were a fashion accessory, what would it be?
Fanny Pack, because our synthesist is compact and very stylish.

2. When was the moment you realized there was something to this musical partnership that needed to be shared?
Verdict’s still out on that one.

3. Describe your typical PE experience.
Get a fake doctors note so as to not participate in anything physical, hit the showers.

Thrasher Skate Rock Comps Vol. 1-3

5. What did you dream of being when you were a kid? (How ’d that turn out?)
Most likely Boba Fett. That never did turn out.
