The Spring Quarter of 2002 saw the revival of the student publication Third World Forum. The legacy that the founders of the Third World Forum have left us includes not just education through printed media but through concrete action as well. In this spirit, the Third World Forum would like to announce that it has formed an Action Coalition which will carry out the actions necessary to overcome our oppression. The Action Coalition’s goal is to be representative of all peoples from the Third World as we believe that a unified front from the People is our greatest strength and asset. The University of California, a public institution, needs to provide equal resources and opportunities to students of the Third World. “Minority” groups comprise 53% of the California population, and it is only fair that we have an adequate Education system to represent and serve our communities.
