Mental Health Association in Durham County
Description
The Mental Health Association in Durham County (MHA/Durham) is a volunteer-run organization which was established in April of 2002 with support from the Mental Health Association in North Carolina (MHA/NC).
MHA/Durham is committed to the following goals:
Promote access to and availability of mental health services, including the Latino/Hispanic communities.
Promote mental health awareness, education, and stigma reduction.
Advocate for quality of care in Durham County as a result of changes brought about by state mental health reform.
Promote volunteerism.
Promote interagency collaboration.
