Salvation Army is small and overpriced, generally speaking.
They occasionally get great furniture, and they are also
more likely to get really old console stereos and TVs, I
guess because the extremely elderly are more inclined to
take their junk to the Salvation Army, since it's the oldest
and most recognizable of the bunch.
Salvation Army is located on Tryon Road, which crosses
South Saunders (Hwy 70 South) a couple of miles south of
the Beltline. Look for a Burger King on your left, which
sits directly at the intersection. Don't forget to go to the
vastly superior Tryon Hills Thrift Store,
which is across
Tryon Road, in the Tryon Hills shopping center.
Today Salvation Army had about 15 pairs of brand new
pleather zip-up high-heeled Beatle boots. I have no idea why.
