Web Content Engineer, 12/03-Present
My last project (GetHits.com) involved extensive object-oriented use of Perl with its DBI::mysql and CGI.pm modules, with a PHP-controlled MySQL backend to enable simultaneous submittals to several hundred search engines based on local copies of the tag attributes of their AddURL forms. My primary programming skills on the Internet are: PHP (See), OOPERL, PERL, SQL, HTML & CGI (in Unix using Perl and some Java).

I have been an independent contractor for Yellow Pages Superhighway, Inc. developing for them an advanced Web Page Designerbot, using Perl and mySQL.

I also assisted in the installation and administration of BSD Unix and the related Internet servers (Web, usenet, mail, ftp, etc) for the sysop at Harborside.com, the premier ISP for Coastal and Southern Oregon.

I am ongoing Website Developer for The Siloe Project, a non-profit foundation that runs child health clinics in Haiti.

Prior to some time in Guadalajara, Mexico and nearby Lake Chapala, where I consulted on the initial development of the online version of Mexico's second largest English-speaking newspaper, The Guadalajara Colony Reporter, I served as Associate Editor for ClariNET Communications, Inc. the "Granddaddy" of online newspapers, with over 1,500,000 subscribers, providing 2,000 news articles from the major wire services each day.
