This two week long seminar is hosted by the Division of Continuing Education and the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and by the University of Oxford, England.
This summer--May 22-June 4, 1994-- you could be exploring the famous libraries of Oxford University, including the Bodleian Library, as well as other reknowned British libraries.
This is a great deal--around $2000 covers the cost of all seminar instruction, room and board at the Kellog Residental Centre, and a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon for a Royal Shakespeare Company production (only transportation expenses aren't included). You may take this seminar for graduate course credit ($180 fee) under the guidance of UNC library SchoolDean Barbara Moran, who is leading the group this year.
This is an incredible experience--the seminar directors at Oxford University go above and beyond the call to see that participants have a memorable time, having adventures like viewing Oxford from the top of the Radcliffe Camera and meeting Colin Dexter, author of the "Morse" mystery series. And after a long day in the library, a pint of cider and memories of Tolkien are waiting at the Eagle and Child...
