on an ongoing basis. Please contact The Women's Center, 968-4610, for
the most current information and a listing of all groups available.
Women's Non-fiction Writers Group
Whether your writing is academic, autobiographical, freelance or any
other variety of non-fiction writing, come be a part of this continuing
support group. Writing is read aloud for comments and support. This
group meets on Wednesdays, from 7:30-9:00pm. Contact Marcy Lansman at
968-0506 for more details. $18 members/$30 non-member
Survivors of Domestic Violence
This group is for women who are in or have been in abusive
relationships with a partner or a spouse. Domestic violence includes
emotional, mental, sexual, and/or physical abuse of any kind. Through
this group we hope to break the isolation many women have lived in,
provide a safe place to share and listen to one another's stories, and
learn about the dynamics of violence against women. Call Debbie at
489-1955 to register. FREE
Women's Gathering
This group provides the opportunity for women to come together to
share their ideas, strengths, joys and difficulties. It also offers the
chance to practice asking for support from others and to build
friendships with women. We will explore the possibility of this group
developing into an ongoing, self-directed support group with members
joining and leaving as their needs require. Facilitated by Meg Veasch,
CCSW. FREE
