Programs & Special Events

The Chapel Hill Historical Society sponsors programs, lectures, and special events throughout the year, directed toward its goal of “making the past present” for the residents of Chapel Hill and the surrounding community. Monthly programs about interesting persons and places are free and open to the public.

A panel discussion featuring Ervin

Danziger and friends and employees of the

Danzigers, followed by refeshments.

 

Holiday Open House

Saturday & Sunday,

at CHHS headquarters

Holiday Cheer during the House Tour.

This year’s CH Preservation Society’s

Christmas House Tour will feature

Franklin Street homes. As you tour, join

us at our Franklin Street headquarters for refreshments

and good cheer among our

own collection of historic memorabilia.

 

Winter and Spring Programs

As more programs are developed for the 2007-08 year, notice will be given on the website, in the newsletter, and in mailings to Society members. Programs are usually held on Sunday afternoons in the Society Office at 523 East Franklin Street . The first program of the year presented the history of the Carrboro/Chapel Hill Farmer’s Markets.
