These are images of posters that could have been seen all over China during the time of the Cultural Revolution which lasted from 1966 until 1976. In the years following the turmoil of this period, most of the posters were destroyed.

Due to a new resurgence of patriotism in China, a kind of nostalgia is brining these relics into the mainstream. Some trends are using them for wallpaper, upholstery and curtains- to name a few. Corporations are taking certain aspects of the posters and using them as logos.
