World media tour Olympic projects

(BEIJING, September 26) -- Kevan, Gosper, chairman of International Olympic Committee Press Commission voiced his conviction that journalists and photographers will be happy with living and working conditions at the Media Village during the 2008 Olympic Games.

He made the remark when visiting the village, the Main Press Center and Olympic competition venues together with attendees of the 1st World Press Briefing for the 2008 Games.

"It's magic, it's magic!" a representative of Algerian News Agency was amazed by the National Stadium, now under construction. The stadium, dubbed "the bird's nest" because of its unique shape, will be used as the main stadium to stage the opening and closing ceremonies and other events.

The stadium and another major project, the National Aquatics Center, or "water cube", are especially impressive, reporters said.
