Eleventh Computers and Writing Conference

The Eleventh Computers and Writing Conference, sponsored by the Alliance for Computers and Writing (ACW) is scheduled for May 18-21, 1995 at the University of Texas-El Paso. The theme for the conference is "Crossing Borders (Atrevesando Fronteras)" and the deadline for proposals is November 1, 1994.

According to conference sponsors, "The unique flavor of in the international border between the United States and Mexico highlights our conference theme of using computers to cross borders and promote the understanding of writing and the teaching of writing."

Additionally, "We invite students, teachers, scholars, and researchers from all levels of academia, government, industrya nd community organizations to submit proposals. We are especially interested in proposals that relate to the conference theme, but will consider other submissions."

Suggested Topics:

If you are interested in submitting a proposal, send three (3) copies of a two-page, double-spaced abstract for a paper, panel, poster session, demonstration or workshop. Include the name, affiliation, address, and telephone number of all presenters. Standard MS DOS and Macintosh equipment will be provided. Please include a request for other computer or audiovisual equipment.
