Good suggestions. In case you're interested, this is how the American Psychological Association (APA) suggests citation. For on-line journals with general access (not subscriber-based): Last name, Initials. (Year, Month). Article title [length of article in paragraphs]. Journal Title [the words "on-line serial"], volume# (issue#). Available: pathname. The example for the CMC article you cited would then be: Bilodeau, A. (1994, July) Into the net: A reporter's transformation [26 paragraphs]. Computer-Mediated Communication Magazine [on-line serial], 1(3). Available http://www.december.com/cmc/mag/ archive.html As far as I know, there is no on-line source for APA. I got this information from the newest (1994, fresh off the press) edition of their publication manual. Just for reference, APA says right in their text that their forms for E-mail citations are based on the following publication: Li, X., & Crane, N. B. (1993). Electronic style: A guide to citing electronic information. Westport, CT: Meckler. Jasmine
