Troy Lee's Bingo John Nance Becket A1 Blackberry Jam Circle Left 1x A2 Partner Swing B1 Bingo Petro Neighbor Swing B2 Ladies Chain Deviled Eggs The move "blackberry jam" in A1 is long lines forward and back, bumping hips once in the center with your neighbor. The Bingo Petro is a balance and petronella twirl, dancers shouting "Bingo!" on counts 7 and 8 instead of clapping. In B2, the deviled eggs move is a scramble. After the ladies' chain, couples should be on their original side. The men should cross the set, then cross the set on the right diagonal; at the same time, the ladies should cross the set on the left diagonal then pass through across. Everyone should face back into the set in regular Beckett formation. They should be where they would have been if they had slid left after the ladies chain. Dancers should shout "Troy Lee!" on beats 7 and 8, like the clapping on a petronella. I wrote this specifically for a choreography contest to memorialize a dancer's mother. Blackberry jam, bingo, deviled eggs, and Troy Lee were some of the terms to be included in the call of the dance. I started by matching the terms to more or less regular contra moves, then writing the dance around them. Chere Force, the dancer, named the dance.
