Scouting Report: James Gibson [jgibson@psu.edu] |

Jerod Ward was the #1 recruit in the nation coming out of high school in 1994. Unfortunatley, Ward, along with rest of Michigan's "Fab Five Part II" recruiting class, did not live up to his billing. To be fair, the primary problem with Ward was a major knee injury. However, Ward never was the player that he was expected to be. After very disappointing three years at Michigan, Ward had a very solid year this past season. Still, he averaged only 28 mpg, and the amount of playing time Ward could give a team should be a major concern. He has apparently played well at pre-draft camps, but his knees will always concern teams that are considering drating him. Ward probably won't go until the end of the 2nd round, if he even gets drafted at all. |
