Scouting reports

Scout: Jeffrey Burgoyne [burgoyne@ultimate-sports.com]

When I see Nailon, I think of Walter Berry. A devastating scorer and rebounder at the college level who I believe will have limited NBA impact. Certainly he can score and rebound, but not for his size but rather a knack of getting into the lane and getting clean shots off. Its also important to remember that his numbers came against suspect competition and a team style that lends itself to huge numbers.

Nailon barely has the height required to play PF (6'9), and needs to add some weight (235). Even then, the added weight may only serve to limit his ability to manouver inside. Nailon will not be a banger, and doesn't have much range (15 three point attempts last year). Much like Berry, he doesn't seem to fit into the NBA.

If Nailon bulked up and developed a mid range jumper, he may be able to play like a Loy Vaught at the pro level, but I expect he'll be a career bench player (although good enough to hang around the fringes for years).
