|Very talented basketball player who most
feel made a mistake in coming out for the draft early. There's no question that new Mizzou
coach Quin Snyder would have loved to have him back next year, but even though White
hasn't signed with an agent, he has a child to support among other financial issues, so
he's likely gone.
White is a great
all-around player who led the Tigers in scoring, rebounding, and assists -- all coming
from playing at the power forward position. Certainly small forward - or even shooting
guard - are the spots he would project to in the pros, as he currently only measures out
to maybe as low as 6'4". In fact, his height has seemingly shrunk from the time he
left high school, as he was listed at Michigan at arond 6'6".
Left Michigan for Missouri after academic problems, and
has been a key contributor at MU ever since. Great open court player and athlete who
excels on the break. Shaky handle, however, and doesn't always make the best decisions,
although in general he is a good passer. Definitely needs work on his outside shot as
well. Has suffered through some nagging ankle injuries, so those may be of concern.
Another year in school would have allowed him to work on his shooting and conversion to
the 2 spot.
At this point, he looks like a 2nd rounder, but a good
Chicago camp if he can prove he can play shooting guard could sneak him into the 1st
