Blew his chance to get into the second round with a poor performance. Best bet
is to go back to Arizona and try again next season.

Gardner told one writer he'd return to Arizona if somebody told him he was the
worst point guard in camp. OK, JG - consider yourself told. Though he showed up
in excellent condition. Gardner seemed almost tone-deaf to the game. He lacked
any feel for offensive flow and shot horrifically. He does not need one more
year with the Wildcats. He needs two.
