Charles Fyle

ome of my life experiences include serving a thirty month tour overseas in the military which gave me the opportunity to visit seven european countries while stationed in (then) West Germany.
President Ford visited our camp once. I was on "KP" at the time. A soldier bolted into the mess hall holding his hand up as if it was dipped in gold and loudly exclaimed: "I did it, I did it...." he yelled. "You did what?" I asked. "Shook his hand..... three times......I just kept getting back in line".
I often wondered what was going through Mr. Ford's mind as he continued to see the soldier's face re-appear for another handshake.....? Returning stateside, two of my passions intertwined as I earned a BA degree in Biblical Literature from Northeastern Bible College in Essex Fells, New Jersey and also completed four years of study at Strasberg Theater Institute in NYC mostly concentrated in method acting and stage direction. The latter also led me to complete some work at The Actor's Studio in NY.
As a novice playwright, I have recently completed my first three act play, "Kinesthesia and the Sixth Borough". Due to finish in edit in a couple of weeks.
As a Continuing Education student at UNC-CH, I am excited about working with the fine faculty at JOMC. I fully support them with the hope that Carolina Week can become one of the best student newscasts in the country.
My ultimate goal is to communicate the news in a creative an accurate manner
