Rich is a second-year Ph.D. student, has an M.A. in journalism from UNC, and a B.A. in political science from the American University. Rich was lead writer for CNN's prime time newscast, The World Today. He also produced packages and segments for CNN. Prior to that, he was manager of European News Operations for Mutual/NBC radio in London, as well as chief overseas correspondent. He served as Bureau Chief for Mutual/NBC radio in Los Angeles. In addition to reporting, he produced and wrote a number of award winning documentaries, including one of the first in depth looks at skin cancer and a look at why a large proportion of young black men are either dead, on drugs, or in the legal system by adulthood. | ||||||||||
